Our initial assessments run for 45 minutes, this will allow us to gain an in depth look into what is causing and contributing to your pain. We then provide pain relieving hands on treatment, give a clear outline of the injury and walk you through a specific exercise program for your needs. We believe firmly in using corrective exercises to improve strength, mobility, proprioception and movement patterns. An inadequate recovery from injury is usually due to an inadequate rehabilitation program.
We will provide ongoing support and progression in this area so you can return to your goals. After all, our goal is to get you to achieve your goals! If you are looking for something extra, we also provide personal one to one physio rehabilitation sessions. Here we will personally work with you once per week for 45 – 60 minutes to go through an extended rehabilitation and mobility program. Ideal for the competitive athlete looking to get back to sport.
For your convenience we have Essendon consultation times early and late in the evening. We also have HICAPS facilities in our physiotherapy rooms to make it easy for you to claim your private health insurance rebates. We accept and treat all Workcover, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) cases. We also accept patients under enhanced primary care (EPC) Medicare schemes. The Medicare care plans can be organised at our physiotherapy rooms under the advice from our General Practitioner.
