Local Physio in Essendon
At Driving Fitness we are committed to providing superior and modern physiotherapy services. We understand injuries and pain can be frustrating, we are here to help you make a safe return to what you love doing. We have fundamental knowledge and experience in sporting injuries as well as lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain, headaches and shoulder pain.
Our initial assessments run for 45 minutes, this will allow us to gain an in depth look into what is causing and contributing to your pain. We then provide pain relieving hands on treatment, give a clear outline of the injury and walk you through a specific exercise program for your needs. We believe firmly in using corrective exercises to improve strength, mobility, proprioception and movement patterns. An inadequate recovery from injury is usually due to an inadequate rehabilitation program.
We will provide ongoing support and progression in this area so you can return to your goals. After all, our goal is to get you to achieve your goals! If you are looking for something extra, we also provide personal one to one physio rehabilitation sessions. Here we will personally work with you once per week for 45 – 60 minutes to go through an extended rehabilitation and mobility program. Ideal for the competitive athlete looking to get back to sport.
For your convenience we have consultation times early and late in the evening. We also have HICAPS facilities in our physiotherapy rooms to make it easy for you to claim your private health insurance rebates. We accept and treat all Workcover, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) cases. We also accept patients under enhanced primary care (EPC) Medicare schemes. The Medicare care plans can be organised at our physiotherapy rooms under the advice from our General Practitioner.

Agni Vaitheeswaran – Client Testimonial
I came to Driving Fitness Essendon for sports rehabilitation with a terrible back injury. Mark has been the best physio I have seen by far. He has been meticulous in his approach to resolving pain and recommended exercises to strengthen my back. I am not only pain free but I am back to playing sport and to my regular fitness. I have recommended him to a lot of my friends and will continue to recommend him to anyone looking for a physio.

Mark’s training and rehab in Essendon has made my shoulder feel better than it has in years. That annoying click, that acute pain I thought I’d never get rid of – gone in 8 weeks flat. For me he used a lot of functional movement training specifically tailored to your situation. His knowledge of anatomy is top class. Within a couple of minutes he’d already pin pointed the EXACT band of muscle that I’d hurt over a year ago. If you’re reading this and you’re still on the fence – just go, seriously. I knew after 1 session that he knew his stuff, totally worth checking it out. He puts loads of effort into each session, honestly cannot thank him enough.
